MMM Firmiano museum in the Castle Firmiano

You will be picked up directly at your home by your driver in a comfortable Executive Van and will be driven to Castel Firmiano near the town of Bozen. The castle is situated on a rocky hill from where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the city of Bolzano and its surroundings. It is the oldest castle in South Tyrol, built around 945 AD. In 1996 the ruins were purchased by the Autonomous Province of Bolzano. Today it is one of six museums of the famous extreme mountaineer Reinhold Messner.

The visitor gets an overview of the mountain universe. Various works, paintings, memorabilia and natural finds tell of the close relationship between man and the mountain. Furthermore, you will gain insight into the formation of the mountain ranges and their decay, the connection between mountain and religion, the mightiness of the most famous peaks of the world and the history of mountaineering from the beginning to today's alpine tourism.

At the end of the visit there is a possibility to have a meal in the restaurant of the castle.

In the afternoon you will be brought back home.
